About project

Project Goal:

Establish a chapter ("Convivium") of Slow Food International in Jordan, and to use the convivium as a networking base for environmentally and culturally sustainable food initiatives.

Objectives:

  • Establish a Slow Food Convivium in Amman
  • Organize at least four events in Amman in 2013: one restaurant event, one schools event, one farmers event, one cooks' event
  • Support Fairtrade Jordan and Heirloom Crops production by connecting farmers with markets in Jordan
  • Raise public awareness of food quality and sustainability issues in Jordan
